The Thousand Best
Satiricus - Ristorante San Pietro Romacon streaming
Strained roasted eggplant with tomatoes, burrata cheese, balsamic vinegar and basil. Thin sliced beef carpaccio with arugula, shavings of parmesan, lemon and extra virgin olive oil. Octopus, cuttle fish and sweet peppers drowned with dry sherry, lemon, ginger and garlic. Mussels and clams in vegetable broth, beans, baby kale and garlic. Legumes and summer vegetables soup with herbs and cherry tomatoes. Salads and vegetables are the protagonists of any food discussion. Steamed wild salmon, yukon potatoes, string beans, red onion, sweet pepper, anchovies, poached egg, lettuce and black olives.
Both of our visits here were so nice. The food was fantastic, and the service, second to none. Manolo made us feel very welcome. Definitely one of our places not to miss, while visiting the city. We come here three or four times a year.
If the Occupy movement ever reassembles a precision team, they might consider occupying Ristorante San Pietro , on East 54th Street, at lunch. For dinner, the restaurant is filled with visiting Chinese, Saudis, and Brazilians availing themselves of reservations arranged by their American business partners. But at lunch the place turns into the canteen of CEOs, who prefer the seats by the window, an area the owner now calls "Chairman's Row. David Komansky, the former CEO of Merrill Lynch and a current investor in Relationship Science, a social networking site for high-net-worth executives, shook a few hands during a leisurely exit. Jamie Dimon has a favorite table on the row. According to Andrew Ross Sorkin's Too Big to Fail , even in the worst hours of the credit crisis, as CEO John Mack was fending off Geithner's attempt to sell off Morgan Stanley at Lehman-esque fire sale prices, Mack still ordered in take-out from the famously pricey eatery, fuel for his team of analysts in their last-ditch all-out all-nighters. The dapper and feisty senior correspondent at Fox Business Network and Fox News Charles Gasparino likes to take lunch at the bar, just so he can keep tabs on his quarry, the CEO in his natural habitat.
Another one that is better then il mulino , Cipriani and del posto But this one is not cheap Wine list fantastic but expensive Food and service excellent. This is a restaurant to which I keep coming back. It has the perfect location compared to th hotel where I usually stay but not only that: the staff is accommodating and helpful, and the food is fresh, tasty and in "right sized portions".
